DJ Mark Alsop

Since the late 80's, Australia's dance party culture has been shaped by the sounds of Mark Alsop. From its humble beginnings to the richness of today's party and clubbing culture, Mark has remained in the forefront of this dynamic environment. He has influenced the Australian circuit party scene since 1988, and continues to impress with his style, diversity and adaptability.

In addition to his widespread DJ experience, Mark has done edits and remixes for many labels that were initially released in Australia and the United States, and subsequently distributed globally. He continues to restructure and re-edit much of the music that he plays.

Mark Currently resides at "Grunt" at Manacle (Deep, dark and dirty bass Electro/House/Tribal), Arq Sydney (Anthemic hands in the air, Commercial and slightly handbag), "Bent" at Manacle (Energetic Vocal House), "Rising" @ phoenix (Uplifting Vocal House), SLIDE (Cocktail groove through to Dance) and "Sunday Afternoons" @ The Clarence (Laid back Vocal & Instrumental Cocktail styled House). Apart from this he also appears at regular Interstate & International appearances. His styles can range from Uplifting Vocal House with sexy, scintillating synths; addictive, slightly sinister bass-lines; and mean, sometimes bitchin' vocals, to dark and dirty Electro! Mark ensures continuity by reworking much of this music in the studio. His sound is both stimulating and inspiring!

DJ Miss Match Profile

Even before the turntables were purchased, Miss Match had travelled the world with various DJ’s such as Jeremy Healy, Carl Cox, Eric Powell, Mistress Barbara, and DJ Heaven and got the opportunity to watch, learn and listen to some of the very best in the industry.

Miss Match started producing her own music in 2008 and “Tarantism” – is already out and cranking in clubs. It’s a House/Electro House track and fans of Miss Match will say it reflects her through and through. With Miss Georgia Brown on vocals & scratch ensembles by Blis’n’Eso it is unique and distinctly Miss Match., and has been picked up to appear on a compilation CD launched February 2009.

Miss Match is playing this Saturday June 27th after Murray Hood from 2-5pm in the basement.  Dont miss her.  She is great.

“Miss Match is without a doubt our favorite female DJ...Amanda is ‘incredible’ live. Her energy, skills, passion and natural presence and beauty behind the decks make her a very rare breed...She is the fastest rising female DJ star in Australia, but is a superstar already in our eyes, and it won’t take long before everyone knows about Miss Match...We adore her.”
